Senior Data Model and Tooling Engineer
A senior data model and tooling engineer is an expert in data model construction, implementation, and manipulation. Candidates should have a clear understanding how data models can be leveraged across the enterprise independent of a specific representation or implementation (tool agnosticism). Candidates should have a proven track record of developing software tools that can make it easier to implement model-based approaches as well as facilitate integration of other systems.
Candidates should have 10+ years of experience working as a software developer and 5+ years of experience with data models and data model tooling. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in domain-relevant government and industry standards.
Skayl is looking for PASSIONATE Software Engineers. Ideal candidates are expected to be able to take reasonably complex software development projects from early stages through release. Candidates should have a math background and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of design patterns, programming languages, and software development methodologies.

Senior Software Engineer
A senior software engineer is expected to be able to take a complex software development project from conception all of the way through release and into maintenance. Candidates should have a strong math background and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of design patterns, programming languages, and software development methodologies.
For senior level engineers, it is desirable to have experience in writing proposals and capturing new business.
Candidates should have 10+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline. Expected travel 20%.
Ideal candidates are programming magicians. They understand (and laugh at) the joke that says, “there 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don’t.” They dream in code and remember a time they awoke, went straight to their computer, and promptly coded the thing that had troubled them so much the day before. New programming languages are quickly mastered and they think in design patterns.
Mid-Level Software Engineer
The Mid-Level Software Engineer position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and should have 3+ years of related experience; or Master’s degree and 2+ years of related experience.
Candidates should have demonstrated technical writing skills and shall have previously generated technical documents in support of a software development project.
We’re looking for someone who has an interest in system architecture, but also a passion for getting things done. Someone smart enough to work at one of the top companies, but picky about finding the right role that’s more than just a job. They’ll be experienced, but also enjoy learning new things. They want to work with smart people and have fun building something great.
Junior Software Engineer
A junior software engineer is expected to be able to take a software development project from early stages through release while working with a more experienced engineer. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of design patterns, programming languages, and software development methodologies. Most importantly, candidates should demonstrate a passion for learning and software development.
Candidates should have 3+ years of casual experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline. Expected travel 15%.
